The Waters of Greencastle offers comprehensive, goal-oriented rehabilitative services designed to restore each patient to his/her optimal functioning while improving strength and maximizing independence. Our trained team emphasizes individual strengths and abilities – not weaknesses.
Our Physical Therapy services are concerned with the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and disability through physical means. We work on strengthening the overall body and improving walking.
Occupational Therapy is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. It gives people the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives. Our Occupational Therapists retrain arms and hands to increase independence in the activities of daily living.
Speech and Language Pathology (Speech Therapy) is the corrective or rehabilitative treatment of physical and/or cognitive deficits/disorders resulting in difficulty with verbal communication. Our Speech-Language Pathologists increase a patient’s ability to communicate in addition to working with patients who have swallowing disorders.
Our rehabilitation services are provided in a newly remodeled Therapy Gymnasium that is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment designed specifically for seniors, as well as a full kitchen. We offer special modalities such as E-Stim, Diathermy and Ultrasound.
Rehabilitation to Home
Patients recently discharged from the hospital sometimes require additional medical or rehabilitation services to prepare them for their return home . . . we can help you or your loved-one make this transition from hospital to home. Our "Rehabilitation-to-Home" program includes medical monitoring by a physician, licensed nurses, and therapists. In addition, specialized therapy programs are individually designed to meet the resident's particular needs. These programs help the patient build strength and increase their functional capacity to allow them to return to the mainstream of life.
Anodyne Treatments
Utilizing cutting edge technology, Monochromatic Infrared Photo Energy is the foundation for our Anodyne equipment. We have challenged our physicians to allow our certified, licensed therapists to treat cases that have not responded to traditional treatment modalities. Our successes with previously intractable neuropathy, chronic pain, and non-healing wounds speak volumes and offer hope for recovery to those who did not think recovery was possible.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
Our team of rehabilitation specialists evaluates each participant to develop personalized therapy program that is approved by the individual's physician. A rehabilitation treatment plan is designed according to the participant's strengths and weaknesses with type, amount, and frequency of therapy dependent on the individual's needs and goals. Whether it's fixing meals, cleaning house or returning to work outside the home, each member of the team is focused on helping the rehabilitation participant reach their maximum potential and return to their previous lifestyle.
